Montol is all about participation. Throughout the festival the public at large are encourage to join our processions and dress in the Montol style. Processions
The main public procession is at 6pm (please congregate at least 5:30 in Chapel Street) everyone is welcome to join in. Please ensure that if you have children that they are near you at all times. There will be lanterns handed out to members of the public – please take one! ALL WELCOME.
Montol costume is based on the costume of the Cornish Guise Dancers. The more people who where this costume the better. You can find about the costume in detail by clicking on this link to our “guise guide”. . You can start with a very basic costume, with “Mock Formal” and a Venetian style mask or you can chose a more complete disguise like the costumes of the Corn-Market Revellers and other guise guilds.
